TESTIMONIALS

"Children are the only future of any people." --Frances Cress Welsing

When my husband and I decided to put our almost 2 year old son in daycare, we were looking for someplace where our son would receive personalized attention and would be able to grow socially and developmentally. Through our search we found Honey Tree and were immediately impressed. The director, Lenora, made us feel very comfortable right away and eased any concerns we had. After our son started, I was impressed that he was greeted by name every day and the developmental progress he made was amazing. The teachers were always very willing to take the time to discuss how he was progressing and even gave us some guidance on what we need to be working with him on.

Now, almost 2 years later, we have 2 sons, ages 3 1/2 and 1, attending Honey Tree and we are still impressed by them every day. Our 1 year old has a lot of severe food allergies and the teachers at Honey Tree are always very aware of the food he is eating and any contact he may have with his allergens. They are very quick to notice if he's having any type of reaction; so I am very comfortable leaving him in their care. I am also continuously amazed by my 3 1/2 year old and the new knowledge he gains every day. For example, one day we were working with his numbers and out of nowhere he counted from 1-10 in Spanish.

I would highly recommend Honey Tree to anyone who is looking for a caring environment for their children, in which the personal needs of each child are taken into consideration.

Our experience with Honey Tree began when our oldest son was 9 months old and we moved to the Bonsack area. We had heard wonderful things about the 460 center and its director Sue. We have not been disappointed. Our son loves going to school each day. He has been at Honey Tree for 3 years now and we've been very pleased with all of his teachers and he's learned so much since he's been attending. The staff has also helped us through one of our biggest struggles with him: potty training. Our son loves water play, class picnics and, of course, ice cream days. We love the programs that Honey Tree offers like Melody Makers and parent's night out.

When our second son was born prematurely we kept him out of daycare for his fist year, but always had plans to have him attend Honey Tree like his big brother. As a result of his premature birth and multiple complications he has Cerebral Palsy. Adjusting to having a child with developmental disabilities was not easy, but we have seen the most wonderful progress with his development since he started at Honey Tree at age 1. Our son loves being around the other children and learning from them. The staff shows so much love towards him and he loves his teachers. He gets weekly visits from physical and speech therapists that will come to our home and Honey Tree. His teachers work amazingly well with his therapists and they will do anything his therapists ask. We feel so blessed to have a whole team of caring people working with our son all day while we are at work. We celebrate every milestone he achieves together and we are all so excited to see him thriving.

The staff at Honey Tree has become like our extended family. They celebrate each and every one of our boys' achievements with us from first words and first steps to birthdays. They all genuinely care for our children and want the best for them. We have peace of mind that our children are well cared for each day while we are at work and that is priceless.

As a working parent, nothing is more important to me than having peace of mind that your children are in good hands while you are away. To me, Honey Tree is my peace of mind. My boys have been at Honey Tree 460 for 4 years and, from day one, I have been amazed at this center. I literally could go on and on about the director and the staff, the activities, the transportation to and from school, summer camp, and so much more.

My boys were 10 months and 3 years old when they started and we now feel like we are part of a family here. I have experienced every level class in the center as a parent and I can tell you first hand that my children, as well as every child that walks through these doors, are LOVED. Most impressive to me, was the Pre-K class. My now 1st grader, was given tools that he needed to thrive in kindergarten and he without a doubt was beyond prepared for school. Currently my youngest is going through that class and I am still amazed at the progress he makes every day.

Honey Tree is always there, no matter what I have NEVER lost time from work because of a weather closing or delay. Mrs. Sue is caring, and her staff know it, her parents know it, and most of all the beautiful smiling, happy, children that are blessed to be here, know it. From the time I leave my boys, until the time I pick them up, I don't worry one second about their safety, or if they will need anything because I know that they are just fine.

All you have to do is walk through the center, see all the happy, smiling faces that are giving care, and getting care to tell that THIS is the right place for your children.

We moved here from a small town and were nervous about how our kids would adjust. HoneyTree kind of made our whole move easier. Our kids felt right at home and made friends right away so it helped with the moving issue. -- M.P.

It's kind of funny now but I was so nervous about going back to work and having to leave my "baby". I thought no one could take care of my child like I could but HoneyTree sure makes that work decision easy. They are so structured and have a plan for everything. I'm kind of impressed everyday at what all they do. I couldn't touch what they do. -- R.E.

My son is using these big words that he would never have learned at home. He's more advanced than other kids his age and I know it's because of HoneyTree. It's because of the way they teach them and make everything fun. They don't just sit around and play all day, there is a purpose in everything they do. -- T.M.

Peace of mind . . . that's what you get with HoneyTree. They are always open no matter what the weather. When we had a bad snow storm last year I saw several co-workers on the phone trying to figure out what to do since their center was closing. I didn't even worry because HoneyTree will stay open until the last child is picked up . . . no matter what. -- E.W.

Their summer program is amazing! They have so many things to do. It's creative and hip and the kids love it. They can go skating, to Putt Putt®, and to their own private swimming pool. We couldn't afford all of this if it wasn't through them. -- E.W.

From the moment we walked in the door their staff actually engage my son personally in conversation and acknowledged he was the most important person in the room. That was special and no other day care centers even came close to that. -- T.R.
