FAMILY SERVICES
HoneyTree Early Learning Centers has mastered the techniques on how to care and educate children. What most people do not know, is that we also provide care and support for our families. At HoneyTree we value being a part of your child's life and want to extend that support to the entire family. We provide services and programs to help your family in any way we can. We want to be that extra support that every family needs. Our current Family Support Services are listed below, however we always welcome suggestions to enhance our Family Support Services, so please feel free to send suggestions to familysupport@honeytreeelc.com.
Enrichment Classes*
HoneyTree realizes that parents have limited time to allow their children to participate in extra activity classes. We offer several extra-curricular enrichment activities such as:
Melody Makers Music Class -- Classes meet once a week and the children learn through Puppet Singing Shows, Motion Games, Music Theory, Composer Study, Music Appreciation, Instrument Play, Rhythm Band and much more! Roanoke Academy of Gymnastics -- Classes meet once a week for one hour and are available for children ages 2 years to 4 years. Gymnastics is great for all boys and girls, whether gymnastics is their sport or they're just looking to have a great time. Gymnastics teaches skills that are great for improving strength, flexibility and physical fitness. Your child not only learns new skills, but also gains self-esteem and confidence while accomplishing goals and gaining a new talent. Visit www.roanokegymnastics.net.
Daily Extended Hours
Majority of our centers offer extended hours until 7:30 pm to accommodate those parents that may have to work late or have other obligations.
Center Events
Each center celebrates Pre-K Graduation, monthly parent events, and special holiday functions.
Parent's Night Out*
We believe parents are important and need some time to themselves. Our Parents' Night Out program allows you to feel comfortable about your child's care while you treat yourself. All HoneyTree children ages 2 -12 years are invited. Infant care is available once a month at some locations. It is offered on Friday evening from 6:30 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. We provide dinner and lots of fun activities. A minimal fee is charged to your account.
Parenting and Children Libraries
Each center has a wealth of resources on parenting and child related issues. The library if located in the Director's office and is available to every family.
Family Night at our Private Pool
Every Friday night in the summer, weather permitting, we host a family swim night at our private outdoor pool at no charge. Pack a picnic and join us at the pool!
Tuition Express
Families that are interested in paying their tuition electronically can participate in the Tuition Express Program. With your authorization, your tuition payment will automatically be withdrawn from your checking or savings account on a weekly basis with Tuition Express. No more hassles with trying to find the checkbook or worrying about late fees. It's taken care of each week!
Parent Advisory Committees
Parents are invited to help organize and participate in our Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) groups. The goal of this group is to involve you in our childhood programs as well as support our staff. Meetings are at a convenient time, once a month. Join today!
Exceptional Parent/Teacher Communication
We know how fast paced today's world can be and how easy it is to forget important dates and events, so we keep our parents informed via weekly e-mails, newsletters, daily reports and parent bulletin boards.
GiggleBytes® Computer Classes for Children
The award winning Gigglebytes classes are available to children ages 2-5 and are held once a week at a cost of $45.00 a month. These classes are offered as part of our Family Services program.
The GiggleBytes program offers quality computer education for young children to help them develop specific age appropriate computer skills, and become safe, competent computer users. Gigglebytes is more than just computers! Our teachers have degrees in education or related fields, and previous teaching experience. They work with each child to help him/her develop important academic skills including: letter and number recognition, shapes and colors, pre reading skills, phonics, spatial relations, auditory and visual discrimination, and much more!

We also know that it's hard to find time to shop for birthday or holiday gifts, so we have unique gifts, such as Personalized Books and Custom Sports Balls available to order online.
Child Identification and Safety Software
HoneyTree cares about your child while they are at HoneyTree and when they are at home with you. So, we have partnered with Farmers Insurance and have created a Child Safety Software Program. This software is a tremendous resource for educating you and your child on safety. The software is also a virtual filing cabinet for your child's identification information as well as, many other important documents that every family needs to manage. Each family receives this software for free upon enrollment.
Seasonal Professional Portraits*
We also understand how valuable your time is outside of HoneyTree, so we have a professional photographer visit the center seasonally to take portrait pictures of your child. So you are not spending your weekends going to a crowded studio or department store to get professional portraits taken.
Candid Photos available online*
Your child grows up so fast! We want to make sure you capture all of their milestones on camera. We have a professional photographer visit the center quarterly to take candid pictures of your children that are available to order online through a secure website.
Referral Rewards Program
Busy parents ask friends about who they trust for daycare, preschool, camp and after school care before they go to the phone book for listings and begin the nerve-racking and confusing task of calling around. That's why we started Referral Rewards -- a program to recognize parents that recommend HoneyTree based on their own good experience.
When you bring an additional family to HoneyTree, you both win!
